This is Halloween! This is Halloween — and today’s biggest stars weren’t afraid to go all out for their costumes this spooky season.
Couples costumes were strong this year, with Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco kicking things off in whimsical Alice in Wonderland-inspired costumes. The Rare Beauty founder rocked a blonde wig and light blue dress as Alice and the music producer opted for full makeup as Johnny Depp’s Mad Hatter from Tim Burton’s 2010 movie adaptation of the book.
As usual, celebrities also did some major photoshoots to accompany their costumes, as Janelle Monáe showed off her photo-realistic costume as the alien E.T. from the iconic 1982 film. Dressed in a full-body recreation of the original puppet from the film, Monáe modeled a number of looks from the movie.
Megan Thee Stallion channeled a fan-favorite animated character by portraying Starfire from DC Comics. Khalid also continued the cartoon character theme with two costumes, Brock from the Pokémon franchise and Gerald from Hey Arnold!. Additionally, Lizzo showcase her self-described “LizzOzempic” outfit, inspired by a recent episode of South Park.
Halle Berry was an inspiration for music artists this year, with Tyla, Halle Bailey and Coi Leray dressed up as Sharon Stone from 1994’s The Flintstones, “Jinx” in 2002’s James Bond flick Die Another Day and Patience Philips in Catwoman, respectively. “And they all crushed it,” Berry wrote in response on X. “The girls know how to make my day.”
Below, find the best costumes from musicians and celebrities, including some perfect musician-themed ideas, including Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos dressing up as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce at the U.S. Open in September. See all the photos below, updating through Halloween (Oct. 31).

North West as Tyler, the Creator & H.E.R.
North, the eldest child of Kim Kardashian and Ye (formerly known as Kanye West), showed off two looks via the TikTok account she shares with her reality star mom. In one, she’s dressed as Tyler, the Creator, mimicking his “Earfquake” look complete with a blonde, bowl-cut wig and baby blue suit jacket with matching skirt while dancing in front of a wall of silver streamers to “Running Out of Time.”
In another TikTok, she’s H.E.R. during the artist’s Super Bowl 2024 appearance alongside Usher. In the video, North rocks a guitar, a black-and-white vinyl outfit and sunglasses, while her hair matched the musician’s space-buns-plus-flowing-locks combo.
Kelly Clarkson as Beetlejuice
Kelly Clarkson, Kelly Clarkson, Kelly Clarkson! The singer slipped into Beetlejuice’s skin for the Halloween episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, showing off a wild mane of hair, the dirty black-and-white striped suit and pale skin sported by Michael Keaton in the films. Her band Y’all also got into the spirit, dressing as various characters from the movies, including Bob, Lydia Deetz and Adam Maitland.
You can watch the costume and set reveal here.
Ed Sheeran as an AI Meme of Himself
The “Shape of You” singer had a little extra fun for Halloween, dressing up as an adorable AI meme of himself. The musician wore a fuzzy monkey outfit with giant ears and posed with his arms and knees on a table, mimicking the “Gay Little Monkey at the Apple Store” image that went viral more than a decade ago, only to find new life when AI-generated images mashed up the image with the faces of celebrities.

Chloe Bailey
The singer channeled animated bombshell Jessica Rabbit, complete with luscious wavy red hair, sequined body-hugging gown with a slit cut up-to-there, purple gloves and a sultry come-hither look.

The Chainsmokers as Ratatouille & Alfredo Linguini
Order up! The Chainsmokers’ Drew Taggart and Alex Pall went with the perfect duo costume from Ratatouille, with Drew as the beloved mouse with the talent for cooking, and Alex as Chef Alfredo. “This is the last time I let Alex choose our Halloween costumes,” Drew captioned the duo’s Instagram post, which also included a video him on Alex’s shoulder, controlling the situation, just as Ratatouille does in the beloved animated film.

Christina Aguilera as Dracula
Forget genie in a bottle … try vampire! The singer put together a super sultry vampire look inspired by Bram Stoker’s Dracula, which starred Gary Oldman as the undead bloodsucker. Unlike the Oscar-winning actor’s creepy old monster, Xtina’s take is unsurprisingly sexy, with her costume featuring a blood-red velvet bustier, matching gloves and white irises. The part of her look that most resembled Oldman’s creature? The singer’s blonde hair was done up in two giant rolls atop her head, just like in the 1992 film.
