Tommy Richman dropped his debut album Coyote on Friday (Sept. 27) via ISO Supremacy and Pulse Records.
The 11-track project includes: “Elephant in the Room,” “Whitney,” “Temptations,” “Whisper in My Ear,” “Give It All,” “Tennessee” (with Trevor Spitta and Zachary Moon), “Thought You Were the One,” “Letterman” (with Paco), “Green Therapy,” “Vanity” and “seems like time moves forever.” (with mynameisntjmack). He previously released “Thought You Were the One” and “Whitney.” “Only features on the album are the people I started out with,” he wrote on X Wednesday (Sept. 25). He also announced on X that his Billboard Hot 100 No. 2 breakout hit “Million Dollar Baby” and “Devil is a Lie” would not be featured on the album.
“Million Dollar Baby” has spent 21 weeks at No. 1 on Hot R&B Songs (chart dated Sept. 28), joining the elite ranks of The Weeknd, SZA, Drake and Bruno Mars as the only other artists who’ve reached this milestone in the chart’s 12-year history. The single also hit No. 1 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs (three weeks), Rhythmic Airplay (three weeks), TikTok Billboard Top 50 (10 weeks), Billboard Global 200 (two weeks) and Pop Airplay. “This is a big record, but this s–t doesn’t define me,” he told Billboard in his June 2024 Chartbreaker interview. “I’m using this as ‘We’re here. We arrived.’ Not as ‘We made it!’ This is the start of a run.”
Coyote arrived one year after his last project, The Rush EP. The five-song project also featured a collaboration with Zachary Moon (“GLOCK 25”).
