Gucci Mane’s wealth is no secret, but he took to Instagram on Sunday (May 30) to remind people just how much money he’s handling on a daily basis.
Seemingly walking out of a casino, the Atlanta rapper posted a video of himself casually filling his pockets with $250,000 in cash and insisting he didn’t need security to help him leave the premises safely. In the caption, he also recognized he was living the lifestyle of Lil Baby’s 4PF label name, writing, “4 pockets full @lilbaby.”
His wife Keyshia Ka’oir Davis joked in the comments, “Let me hold a hunid wop. Ice need diapers & milk.”
Lil Baby has previously collaborated with Guwop on songs such as “Both Sides,” “Ice,” “Anyway” and “Realist In It.”
On June 18, Gucci Mane is set to return with his new album Ice Daddy via Atlantic Records. He announced the project in April with his “Shit Crazy” single featuring BIG30, with its Pooh Shiesty and Foogiano-starring music video racking up over seven millions YouTube views to date.
During a recent interview with Billboard, Gucci Mane discussed his drive to take things to another level when he was released from jail in 2016.
“When I went to prison, I knew that I was special,” he admitted. “I knew I was unique, and I knew I had something to offer that a lot of people didn’t. When I got out I said, ‘I’m going to show everybody.’”
He also revealed what made him sign Pooh Shiesty and how he was able to grow his 1017 label over the course of the pandemic.
“What first got me were his lyrics,” he said. “When I started hearing his bars and punchlines I said, ‘This guy is intelligent. He’s really crafty. He might be one of the most talented guys I ever signed.’ The pandemic is how I popped off my label. While everybody [else] is going to sit on their money, I’m going to come out and sign artists. That was my whole strategy.”
